Join us on Monday, January 16, at the Mediacom Center at 9:15 am for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. March and Celebration. The march will begin promptly at 9:30 am, followed by a celebration at 10 am at Drury University’s Clara Thompson Hall. The guest speaker for the event will be Dr. Tererai Trent (who has been a featured guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show) – a Zimbabwean-American whose unlikely story of educational success has inspired many. Whether or not you are able to attend the march and celebration, we encourage you to find a way to make this day a “day on” rather than a day off, in honor of the great work Dr. King did in his lifetime to give a voice to the voiceless and hope to the hopeless.
